10:00 - 16:00 A two-day beginners' printmaking course at Whiting Bay Village Hall with Arran artist Raine Clarke of Underwing Studio. Day one introduces monotype: painting or drawing on a smooth surface, then printing one-off images on an etching press. Day two uses repurposed tetrapak cartons, scoring lines that hold ink to make intaglio-style prints exploring texture, shape and tone. No previous experience needed. Cartons are provided, though you can bring your own. Bring an old shirt or apron, a packed lunch and drinks, and optionally photos or a sketchbook of high-contrast ideas. Extra paper can be bought on the day.
