Find out what our guests have to say about Clyde House, Whiting Bay, Isle of Arran.
"Lovely week in beautiful Whiting Bay! The house was spacious, well-appointed, and spotlessly clean. Great communication with James in the run up to our stay, always friendly and quick to respond. The house is in a good position looking out over Whiting Bay and we enjoyed the beautiful views from the deck after days spent exploring the island. We were in Bay Stores most days for supplies and fresh coffees, and the kids loved exploring the beach and the play park. Whiting Bay is a great location, handy for visiting Lamlash and Brodick, and beautiful Kildonan. Hope to visit again sometime!."

"Lovely location for a great view of the sea. Situated in a peaceful village with enough amenities to be useful. The house itself is spacious, warm, and suitable for most family groups. The kitchen is especially well appointed, with double oven, grill, microwave, induction hob, and all the cooking equipment to make the finest of feasts. (Nespresso) coffee and tea provision as standard. The garden is well maintained and very pretty, and the location is beautiful. On a clear night we saw the whole band of the Milky Way, and a billion stars beyond. Great sandy beaches nearby, great for paddling or swimming. Regular local bus service, and parking for 2 cars at house as well."

"A Perfect Family Getaway at Sealladh A'Chluaidh
Our family stay at Sealladh A'Chluaidh (Clyde House) in Whiting Bay was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the serene beauty of the seaside village and the stunning views of the Isle of Arran.
The house was immaculate and incredibly comfortable for our family of three. The two king-sized bedrooms, one with an en-suite, and the additional bedroom with two single beds, provided plenty of space. The beds were exceptionally comfy, ensuring we all had restful nights after our daily adventures.
The large, well-equipped kitchen was a joy to cook in, with more spices than you could imagine! We loved gathering around the dining table for meals, and the spacious sitting room with its cozy sun lounge was the perfect spot to unwind and make memories together.
The two large decking areas were perfect for outdoor dining and relaxing, allowing us to soak in the breathtaking sea views. The utility room with a washer, dryer, and iron was a convenient addition, making our stay even more comfortable.
The location of the house in Whiting Bay was peaceful and lovely. While the village itself is quaint, it had enough shops, cafes, and walks to keep us busy. We enjoyed exploring the local area, including visits to Brodick Castle Garden and Country Park, climbing Goat Fell, and marveling at Eas-Mor and Glenashdale Falls.
The hosts were incredibly responsive and friendly, and provided us with lots of local knowledge prior to our arrival. They truly went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.
Despite the mixed and unpredictable weather, we embraced the charm of Whiting Bay. The walks along the beach were delightful, and nearby Lamlash offered great dining options. We even participated in two pub quizzes, which added a fun and entertaining element to our stay.
Overall, Sealladh A'Chluaidh provided the perfect base for our Arran adventures. We highly recommend this beautiful holiday home for families looking to relax, explore, and experience the magic of Whiting Bay.

"We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home in Whiting Bay. The location is perfect- peaceful yet close to village amenities like the village shop, a pub, and bus stop.
The house sits slightly up the hill, offering stunning views, with plenty of nature around, making it a fantastic spot for birdwatching and nearby wildlife you won’t see elsewhere. It’s also just a short walk to the sea, ideal for swimming or paddling. The house itself is spacious, clean, and decorated to a high standard, with plenty of room for families or groups. The kitchen is well-equipped, with everything needed to prepare great meals. The large communal spaces, both inside and out, make it a very comfortable stay. It’s a great base for exploring Arran.
We would highly recommend!"

"Stayed here for an August trip to Arran with family. The house is in a beautiful location in Whiting Bay, a short distance from the village amenities, including shops, a great pub, bus stop and the glorious beach. It's a good spot for exploring the rest of the island, about a twenty minute drive from the Brodick ferry. The house is on a quiet drive a little up the hill affording you views over the Firth of Clyde. There is parking for at least two to three cars. The house itself is clean and decorated to a high standard. All of the rooms are of a good size, but I'd particularly mention the large modern kitchen, and much larger communal areas, inside and outside, than is typical for a holiday let. We were very comfortable staying here. There are large decking areas, perfect for a sunny breakfast with a scenic view. The let has heating, and a utility room for laundry and wet clothing (it is Scotland!). Overall the house offers good value for money and is an excellent choice for a family or group stay on Arran."

The house is excellently equipped with books, games and jigsaws. The kitchen equipment is high quality. The garden is spacious and there is a whirly for drying washing.
James was a great host and replied to any communication immediately.."
