11:30 - 14:30 An Arran Geopark guided walk of about 6.4 km (4 miles), taking roughly three hours. It climbs a well-made path through felled forestry plantation to a trig point, with views of Arran's northern mountains, then crosses pathless heather moorland to an ancient fort. From there it descends through grassy moorland and sheep pasture to the remains of the North Sannox clachans, settlements home to Gaelic speakers until the mass migrations of 1829-31.
