Falling For The Ushers
Whiting Bay Village Hall
25 April 2026
Arran storyteller Marty Ross begins a spring season of performances with a radically reinvented version of a classic tale by Edgar Allan Poe, an author with strong personal connections across the water in Ayrshire. Poe’s classic “Fall Of The House Of Usher” is reimagined as a very modern, very Scottish story set against the background of Glasgow’s contemporary art scene. But for all the fresh twists Ross has brought to the story, it remains a rich blend of dark humour, stark horror and dramatic tragedy, performed in Ross’s inimitable fully theatrical performance style.
