Arran Spring Clean 2027
15 Mar - 21 Mar 27
Island-wide
Arran Spring Clean
A week-long call for the Arran community to clear litter from the island's road verges. It grew out of Fiona Laing's 75-mile round-island walk in June 2026, which raised money for the Fire Fighters Charity, the Coastguard Association and Arran Community First Responders, and showed how littered the verges had become. Supported by Eco Savvy and island environmental organisations, it goes beyond an ordinary litter pick: the organisers will collect data and run competitions on the types of litter found, and everyone who takes on a stretch of road is entered into a raffle. Full details are still to come.
